I know restaurant workers like food trucks because every Saturday night at Tommy Rocker's, a legendary bar in Las Vegas, they have a food truck lot party and the whole crowd looks like a bunch of LDS missionaries, or penguins. Take your pick. I was just curious to know which food trucks you like to refuel with before or after a shift. There are a ton in my town, and I have a couple favorites like The Love Grub Truck, and Tasty Buns, but when I checked out the Gourmet Food Truck Festival at The South Point Hotel and Casino a couple weeks ago, I saw some great trucks from California that I must try.
Ludo Lefebvre has a fried chicken truck and there was an ice cream sandwich truck called Long Boards that was packed, and looked awfully nice with their customized ice cream sandwiches. Please share with me the best food trucks in your town, and tell us about what's good to eat there.
I don't see any signs of the food truck phenomenon slowing down, but there is legislation in California that would ban food trucks from operating near schools, and that would hamper their pursuits tremendously. If you are a California resident you can sign a letter to the Assemblyman and the group that is in charge of this bill. There is a link to the leter at http://bumpersplash.com/food-truck-community-conversations/notice-f....
It's worth taking a look at to support the sidewalk chefs that can't afford to operate in a brick and mortar establishment.
What's your favorite food truck?
