Customer Eating Rituals.
It's always nice to see someone get happy from the food you serve them. Just about everyone has a favorite thing to eat at a particular place, but don't you just loathe the person who has an infantile infatuation with something at your restaurant, and they make a big jack-ass out of themselves about it every single fuckin' time they visit?
You have to hear the story about why it is so meaningful to them, and they modify the order to such douche-bag specs that you're certain to do something they see as wrong.
The one I remember the most was a woman. She started bringing in her own bread for her sandwiches, because she didn't like ours.

I have this single lady that comes in and gets an "augie salad" the salad consists
Of salami ham shrimp greens, blah blah stuff like that. She orders this salad
With the meat on the side and extra to go along. The shrimp on the side extra bread.
And a side of mayo. Mind you this salad is like 7 dollars. So in short what she does
Is she gets xtra bread to make little cold cuts with her meat mayo and lettuce
From her salad. Cocktail sauce for her shrimp on the side so she has shrimp
Cocktail and she always has to "sample" our cream of crab.

Regardless people will get what they want at a restaurant. It's my job to be warm and treat all my special guests with warmth and respect. lolzz

I love the customers that ask for water with lemon.....extra lemons, please....and then use the sugar at the table to make 'lemonade'. I want to tell them that we're still going to charge them for their lemonade whether they make it or we do!

I have run into this fuckin' situation a couple of times . I talked straight to them " You re gonna make lemonade with some free lemons . He was looking at me with his eyes opened . I still brought him some lemons . Next time , I swear he is not going to ask water with lemons

I also know of a very well to do couple who always takes all of the Splenda packets from the table (as soon as I've walked away). They drink ice water and pepsi; do they really think we think they're using it in their drinks? One time, I actually saw the woman go to another table for the packets because there weren't any at hers.

I have the guest that comes every Friday at 11AM and have ice tea,clam chowder,and fried shrimp with hash browns.Our chef loves him because he would like to have the same for a launch.His bill is about 20 and he always tip me about 20 as well!!!!
